Habitations Jarry

Montréal, QC

The Habitations Jarry project, located in Montreal and developed for the Office municipal d’habitation de Montréal (OMHM), contributes to the transformation of the city’s existing social housing portfolio, addressing critical challenges related to safety, energy performance, and urban equity.

The intervention stems from a comprehensive technical assessment conducted by Chevalier Morales, which identified significant deficiencies within the building envelope. This analysis led to a complete façade rehabilitation strategy focused on improving occupant safety and comfort while reducing the building’s environmental impact.

Situated in a particularly complex urban context directly above a subway station, the project was designed to allow residents to remain in place throughout construction. Achieving this objective required meticulous planning and close coordination with surrounding infrastructure, including Montreal’s metropolitan transit network.
