Fondaction Head Office
Montréal, QC
More than a simple renovation, the reconstruction of Fondaction’s head office inspires a reflection on how to adapt professional life to the evolving dynamics of modern work. Emerging during the pandemic, the project enhances the workspace, aligning it with the realities of hybrid work.
Workstations are designed to be modular and unassigned, offering flexible usage that adapts to the changing schedules and needs of employees. This flexibility allows the office’s workspaces to evolve over time to reflect changing contemporary work practices.
The space is designed to foster engagement and interaction among employees from various departments. It features collaboration and work rooms, lounge areas for relaxation, and community spaces. Generous circulation areas filled with natural light encourage informal gatherings. Grounded in the human-centric vision of the independent Quebec workers’ fund, the layout of the new workspaces prioritizes employee well-being by promoting bright and open environments.
With a commitment to sustainability, the project aims for carbon neutrality through careful operational planning and long-term maintenance of the building. Additionally, the use of materials sourced from selective deconstruction prior to the renovation reinforces its environmentally friendly goals.
